music video analysis
I think during this music video there is a lot of high key lighting, and this is what I would also like to portray throughout my music video. I have chosen to analyse this music video because I feel that it is also a dance video which I will be making. I can take a few ideas from this video, and incorporated it into my own. There is of costume and location changes in this music video, but I feel that my music video will be in one location and in the same costumes for my dancers for a theme of consistency. I think this will be effective for our target audiences to be able to recognize our music video easily, and I think the high key lighting will draw attention when viewing the video. This music video has a range of camera angles and fast cutting, which is a convention for a dance music video, and what a viewer would expect to see. There has been many medium and long shots whilst the dancing scenes, and a few close ups of the main person in the video. I think the close ups are used to let the viewers recognize her importance, and that she is the main character to be focusing on. In some scenes there are low key lighting and this is in contrast with the type of song the video was made for, I think this was done fro effect. Panning movement is used to show of the main characters body and this has an effect on the viewer to make them keep watching. Something that this video had which made it more attractive was interactive background images, and this makes the music video better.
Analysis of music video
Whilst i watched only the first minute of this music video, the camera angles, shots, editing, mise en scene and lighting that i noted were a variety of many. First there were long shots of the artists to begin with showing a background and her whole body. This could give the viewer a chance to see the scene. Close ups and medium shots were then used when another character was introduced. Close ups of the artists inparticular showing the viewer her facial expressions whilst interacting with the second person. A panning movement of the camera was used especially to show off the artists envious figure, starting from her foot upwards. This engages the audience. The second artists who was rapping had a number of medium shots for the audience to view him, but not too many because he is not the main artist in the video. The lighting changes throughout this part of the video, there is a change of high lighting and low lighting. The low lighting is mainly used for the scenes with the male dancers and the high lighting is when the main character is on her own.
Keri Hilson Turn My Swag On
We first thought to use this song as our chosen song, and mix it with Beyonce - Get me Bodied. But we changed our mind because we thought it was too much of a risk to do two songs.
